According to Wired, Rodney Reed Caverly, a former Bank of America employee pleaded guilty last week to charges stemming from stealing $304,000 using malware he installed on 100 ATM machines over a period of seven months.
Caverly had been employed at Bank of America since 2007, where he worked as an application programmer. He faces up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
